Who is Whoosya?

Whoosya is a fun, energetic band from Wantage in Oxfordshire. We perform songs from the American Folk Roots tradition – that’s a fusion of country, bluegrass, gospel,  jug band and skiffle.

The band has guitars, banjo and mandolin and is driven along by the bass and washboard. Having four singers with this powerful rhythmic playing gives our songs drive and energy. It’s impossible to sit still while listening.

We have our own sound system – from a full PA, to individual amps for smaller events.
